Kelli Dolly Cullivan was born March 14, 1997 with Trisomy 13 (a chromosomal disorder). She was the daughter of my brother Paul and his wife Nancy. She had many difficulties throughout her life, but she remained the light of her parent's life. Three years ago, Paul wrote an "intro to Kelli" for a listserver which I've copied here: Here's Kelli! I am her aunt and am only one of a large family who has been delighted to know Kelli for the short time she graced our lives. Kelli died at 3 in the morning on March 25, 2000. She was at home, in the company of her parents. Her obituary can be viewed here: A Very Special Child. This web site was originally created so that people who only knew Kelli from Paul's descriptions of her on various Internet sites could check in here from time to time to read up on her latest doings. But now that we are part of the Trisomy Webring, I'd like to make this a gathering place for people who need more information which is so desparately lacking in their lives. If you have found your way to this site because you have recently had a special child come into your life, you'll soon learn that you are not alone. Paul wrote about the loss of every parent's dreams in this essay on Dreams and Imaginings.
Kelli has gone to join the other little angels that once shared our lives. This site will remain as a memorial of the happy life she led. I hope to continue adding photos of other little friends and angels, and helpful trisomy links.
If you know of any site which isn't listed on my site and isn't a Webring member site, please email me at the Webmaster Email address (kellidolly@aol.com). I want this to be a relevant site, and the only way to do that is to keep it up-to-date. Thanks for your help! Best wishes to you and your loved ones.
